That being said it doesn’t feel quite complete without some kind of reason why we ducks are murdering each other. Frantic multi-player 2D deathmatch with ducks, weapons, and hats. It is a silly, competitive game that keeps its players entertained. This is definitely not a Skyrim or Goldeneye, but it does what it is aiming for very well. There were some minor glitches like getting stuck in a platform and stuff, but nothing game breaking. Small things like dragging/throwing dead ducks and/or stealing their hats makes you that much more into the game.

It is pretty fast paced and becomes really competitive. The first one to win ten rounds wins the game. The players have to scramble for weapons (guns, bombs, melee weapons, etc.) and kill each other with them. 2-4 players are spawned in random platform levels with various weapons across the board. I know this sounds silly, but it makes the game much more enjoyable. Wearing different hats also changes the quack. You make your character quack to taunt or communicate. The quack button might possibly be my favorite thing in this game. Basically the WASD keys to move/jump/glide, the C key to pick up/throw, V key to use, Q key to play dead, and the E key to quack. The controls for Duck Game are really simple. This actually turns out to be a good thing. The game, instead, focuses heavily on multiplayer. There is a single player challenge missions that imply being a lone duck attacking a corporation but I wouldn’t really call that a story. Normally I would try to summarize the story of a game I am reviewing, but to be honest, I’m not sure what the story is. This platform/shooter is definitely not an everyday kind of game. The game was released for Microsoft Windows on June 4, 2015. On launch, the game only featured a multiplayer mode, however in November 2014, single-player modes were added. The game was released for the Ouya on May 13, 2014. Development ĭuck Game was developed by Vancouver-based developer Landon Podbielski. It is every ounce a cut-down when you need the volume, but there is just enough back pressure built in to give it effortless soft clucks and whines. Similar to fighting games, angled shots and some other maneuvers require precisely timed input combinations.ĭuck Game has several unique elements, including multiple hats, a quack button, and a ragdoll button. Designed to break the mold, but definitely not reinvent the wheel, this duck call is made different than any other cut-down style duck call. The game features a simple control scheme: beyond basic movement controls, the player can pick up/throw a weapon, use their equipped weapon, strafe (walk backwards), quack, and ragdoll. Duck Game has a simple premise: players die in one hit, and last player standing wins the round. The game has a single-player arcade mode where the user can complete challenges to get tickets, which can be used to unlock in-game hats and game modifiers (such as Moon gravity or explosive props), as well as local or online multiplayer with up to four other players.
